Steven Persson: Street papers are the most important movement in the world

 INSP 16 December 2019

Steven Persson has spent his entire career helping marginalised people including those with disabilities and homeless people. In 2005 he became CEO of The Big Issue Australia, a successful and much-loved street paper based in Melbourne which is self-sufficient and independent. Under his leadership, The Big Issue Australia has expanded into educating children about life choices through meeting vendors and projects to keep vulnerable women off the street. Persson talks to INSP about the importance of approaching charity with a business mind in order to reduce the costs that homelessness has on society. (1557 Words) - By INSP
