Silk Road rises from the grave

 Ireland's Big Issue 11 November 2019

Jennifer May of Ireland's Big Issue explores Silk Road, an underground online black market where users can buy illegal drugs such as cocaine anonymously, and without being monitored by government spies. Silk Road customers even use a virtual currency called Bitcoin in order to avoid detection. The subversive site earned the nickname ' for illegal drugs' but it was closed down recently by the FBI. However, only five weeks later and the controversial drug marketplace was back online under a new name boasting it had risen from the grave. (1145 Words) - By Jennifer May
