Pieter-Dirk Uys is an award-winning South African satirist who is also an author, film-maker, performer and social activist. He began his work at the height of Apartheid when South Africa was segregated by race and he used humour to criticise the government. Currently, he performs in schools across the country to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS.
