Aidan Turner on Poldark: “It’s a great story that should be heard”

The Big Issue UK 23 March 2019

Irish actor Aidan Turner is best known as the conspicuously handsome dwarf Kili from The Hobbit and previously starred as a werewolf in The Mortal Instruments and brooding vampire in cult television series Being Human. His latest role sees him for once play a fairly normal guy in the new BBC adaption of Poldark. He speaks to The Big Issue about stepping into the shoes of the tortured and dashing Ross Poldark, who returns from the American War of Independence to his beloved Cornwall, England to find his world in ruins: his father dead, his house wrecked and his sweetheart engaged. (571 Words) - By Steven MacKenzie
