The threat posed by ISIS has brought together former enemies in the disputed territories of Iraq. IPS visits the trenches on the frontline of this conflict and finds the region’s complex ethnic and ideological dynamics subsumed to the fight against ISIS, “an enemy of mankind as a whole”.
