A defunct railroad track in Chicago has been transformed into a broad tree-lined path that flawlessly integrates tattooed punks, serious runners, families with strollers and dogs, and users of wheelchairs. It’s a boon for Chicagoans and tourists alike, but local activists are warning about the trail’s impact of the communities it cuts through.
