Classic UK sitcom Dad’s Army soldiers on with big screen revival

Big Issue North - UK 22 February 2019

Don’t panic! Beloved British sitcom Dad’s Army is back, revived for the big screen with an all-star cast that includes Toby Jones, Bill Nighy and Michael Gambon. Even in an age of cinema reboots, the revival of the haphazard war-time antics of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard was met with scepticism. Scottish actor Bill Paterson, who plays the salty Private Frazer in the film, admits that he was dubious to start with, but insists that working on the new movie won him over. (1735 Words) - By Dan Whitehead
