Our vendors: Sunshine (The Curbside Chronicle, OKC, USA)

The Curbside Chronicle - USA 08 July 2019

“I didn’t want to be Sunshine anymore. I wanted to be a dark cloud.” In this moving interview, Sunshine talks about how becoming trapped in an abusive relationship led to her losing her kids, becoming homeless and contracting HIV. Slowly, Sunshine is now rebuilding her life. She credits her father and her street paper, The Curbside Chronicle, for inspiring her to keep on pushing. She also shares her advice to other women in abusive relationships: “Get away as soon and fast as possible. Leave tire marks behind you. If not, it can end up costing you everything.” (1907 Words) - By Ranya O’Connor
